Here are his comments on what is going on at Nuevo Vallarta:
According to the owners update (sales BS) we had to endure on Tuesday, the disappearing ponds are to be 2 new holes on the golf course (replacements ??). Dirt everywhere, no water in pond area.

Loft construction underway, steel installed in GLIII.

Big crews on site of Mayan Palace. Real activity there.

Interesting point: in background of photo sent you will see (maybe) that they are dredging the river and creating something, but I don't know what.

During our Owners update (sales push), we found out that room allocations are done on Tuesdays prior to arrival and are allocated based on priority of contract status, and not based on money invested. It seems that anyone that bought 2 weeks, like us, have next to no priority and will be getting the left-overs on booking. Charter members, contracts with multiple registration numbers (I 've never heard of this before) and that anyone that buys fractional ownership will outrank us when it comes to booking. Another interesting note is that they are no longer marketing anything other than factional ownerships, so the days of buying 2 or 3 weeks are over. They are going for the Big Fish with lots of bucks and are paying to fly in the "money bags" in as a marketing tool to sell. Seems like they want the Half million dollar contracts only.

If there is anything specific you want to know, we are here until May 4
Thank you Boots.

Regarding the dredging activity, we noticed in your photo that there is similar activity up river. We think the tons of dirt that has filled in the lagoons comes from these dredging pits. Shovels and front-end loaders have been in and out of the river for years. dredging

Great info. Nice update. We look forward to your second installment before you leave.
